Restaurant Lounge_Club…food, music’n friends.

A characteristic entrance of iroko stickering welcomes guests to Restaurant L’entrecôte and the Montecristo Club. Its owners asked us to design an open-plan space that could be adapted to meet the needs of a lunch restaurant at daytime and of a stylish place to dine, enjoy a drink and listen to good music sessions at night. We divided the area in two levels which allowed us to create a more exclusive area on the top floor. This area featured its own bar, a line of seats and several adjustable tables that could be adapted to the changing needs of the restaurant and the club at any given moment of the day. The ground level consists of the access area, two bars and a dining room furnished with lightweight furniture. We created an intensely theatrical atmosphere that included dark-coloured ceilings and backgrounds covered by black velvet curtains, that can either hide or show the bars and the kitchen, depending on the activity taking place. Transformation of the stage design is created by a programmed lighting system that brings about a complete change of atmosphere marked by a slow and continuous transition.
